The Flexible AMOLED display from Samsung that was announced in late December is now showing up with the latest photos. The 4.5-inch Flexible AMOLED display from Samsung has the thickness of 0.3mm in cross-section, so thin that if you view it sideway, it remain a thin line in your eyes.
Flexible 4.5 inch AMOLED display offers WVGA resoltuion at 840×480 pixel. The rollability is up to 1 cm in diameter, and presuming the future smartphone concept will take shape of a Montblanc pen with roll-able screen?
Samsung is currently working with mass production, hopefully starting fourth quarter this year, we will be able to witness more thin shape smartphone with rollable, bendable type of display available in the retail market.
